Face to face support to get a job
Free support to get a job is available to mothers and carers from low income households. We can help you find work that fits with your family.
We currently run face-to-face free support services in these areas:
Lambeth – we run a ‘young mothers’ programme, for women aged under 30 living in the borough of Lambeth. The sessions will be held at a range of children’s centres and community venues in Lambeth.
Other London boroughs – we also have free support projects (for mothers of any age) running locally in Camden, Lewisham, Lambeth, Southwark and Islington.
Rest of London/home counties - for all other mothers, living anywhere in London or in a county bordering London, we run a range of free workshops near London Bridge/Waterloo. This programme is already full to the end of the year, but you can apply to join the waiting list for January 2014.
What sort of help can you get?
We match the support to your needs as much as we can. Topics covered may include: building your confidence about the skills you can offer employers, improving your CV, helping you with job applications, helping you to find part time vacancies to fit with your family, IT training to help you get a job, or improving your interview skills.
Free support is delivered through a mix of workshops led by a qualified coach, one to one meetings and phone support.
